Foil and Tacky Glue–Freeform Drawing Elements
Create any Freeform Shape You Need!
Just when it seemed like the only way to apply metallic leaf effects from Deco Foil and Gina K Fancy Foils was with tacky dry adhesive, we discovered a whole new approach—glue! This week Barb and I experimented by drawing directly on the back of Deco Foil sheets, letting the glue dry, and then peeling off the individual elements. The result? Beautiful, metallic, hand-drawn designs that can be moved around and placed exactly where we want them.
This technique adds a personal, artistic touch to mixed media projects, card making, and art journaling, giving you complete control over composition and placement. I love how it keeps the hand-drawn feel while adding that perfect metallic shimmer. It’s an easy, fun way to elevate any creative project!
