More Fun Stencil Techniques!

Layering My NEW Mask “Wind” with Gel Plate and Mini Ink Blender

The wonderful folks at Joggles offer my 9x12 stencils for just $6 each! They are mylar, which means even though they look thin and elegant, they are durable and sturdy. The biggest worry is them tangling with each other, which is why I keep mine with sheets of palette paper between them. All of the new stencils are available for purchase at Joggles.com

In this lesson I’m taking advantage of the ghost print, or the paint trapped under the stencil, plus some sponged-in color with my new Mini Ink Blending Tool by Ranger. I’m also going to show you how to use a second 8x10 Gel Plate off to the side for color mixing and taking extra paint off the stencil to be used again. Working on a roll of paper and with two plates, I manage to make multiple sheets of collage paper, really FAST!

Learn and Be Inspired With Me Online

I also have an online workshop called Building Better Backgrounds that is always open and offers 14 different techniques for mixed media backgrounds

If you are interested in in-depth learning I have an online self-study Gel Plate Monoprinting for Collage Paper workshop that’s fantastic.

Full length in-depth tutorials (including the conclusion of this one) are published on my Paper Paintings Patreon Page
every week for ongoing learning and creative inspiration. Visit Patreon.com/ElizabethStHilaire to learn more.

The Wind mask/stencil from my NEW collection with Joggles.com I love the ghost print (shown here) or the paint that’s trapped under the mylar after you pull the first print.
