Spanish Moss on Your Gel Plate

A little messy, but produces beautiful results!

This week I’ll teach you how to use mpanish moss with marbled acrylic colors on your Gel Plate. Using three layers, working from light to dark colors with Golden Fluid Acrylics, I’m using Spanish moss as a masking tool. I apply the paint two colors at a time in a marbled, modeled manner with the help of two different sized brayers. The result is a rich, highly textured, layered, marbled print with varying shades of color and lots of organic patterning.

If you are interested in in-depth learning I have an online self-study Gel Plate Monoprinting for Collage Paper workshop that’s fantastic.

Full length in-depth tutorials (including the conclusion of this one) are published on my Paper Paintings Patreon Page
