Transferring a Sketch to your Mixed Media Background

Keeping Your Surface Neat and Clean

Today’s Tidbit shows you how to work out your sketch on paper first. Use a sketch paper sized up to fit your mixed media background–in this case, 12x16. Once you have all your edits made, then you can use graphite transfer paper to transfer your final sketch, neat and clean, to your prepared mixed media background. Sketching on paper first allows you to spare your background from eraser smudges, keeping it neat and clean.

This is a sneak peek into a multi-part video lesson series from my Patreon Page. Your monthly subscription unlocks in-depth video tutorials that publish every week. You have immediate access to all previously archived material and new material moving forward, it’s the best deal in town!
