Adding Molding Paste for Texture in Florals
We Love Texture and Flowers!
Today’s Tidbit gives you a sneak peek into a technique from my online Fabulous Florals workshop. My next Zoom workshop is April 23-25 AND 26-29 in conjunction with the Sedona Arts Center.
In this video I’ll talk you through my decision making as I demonstrate how I add texture into the background like icing on the cake! Fabulous Florals! is my most popular workshop and florals are my best selling subject matter.
In the true spirit of mixed media, I incorporate mark making on top of the collage and painting in the background as negative space at the end. The finishing touch is a layer of moulding paste in order to add texture and to give you an opportunity to scratch some marks, including your signature!
