Adding Stencil Patterns to Metal Leaf in Mixed Media

Amazing Effects with Mona Lisa Metal Leaf and Stencils

I am always looking for more ways to add pattern and texture to my funky florals projects. So far I have added DecoFoil over metal leaf but I have not stenciled with paint on top. Why not? This week I am experimenting and what I learned is that you really MUST seal the metal leaf with gel medium  before you stencil, otherwise the fluid acrylic does not want to stick to the metallic surface! I am sure a more heavy body paint might provide a different result, but around here we are all about the Fluids!
