Waste Not, Want Not!

I’ve Found the Perfect Combination of Tools

Today’s Tidbit features the best way to make use of the FULL 9x12 sheet of rice paper rather than waste 1 inch down the side and two inches at the top. I mean this rice paper is high quality and not inexpensive, so WHY would we not want to be sure that our gel prints are not coving the WHOLE sheet?

In this video I'll show you the NEW tools I’ve recently acquired to take advantage of the whole sheet– I’m Gel Printing on a Dina Wakley 9x11 Gel Printing Plate and a 9x12 pad of rice paper. Using my stencils and masks that were designed to be layered, I’m working in a way that covers just about the entire sheet! The 6-inch brayer is the bomb when it comes to spreading paint across the 9x11 plate completely… But when you want to add paint in small, precise areas the 2-inch brayer is the ticket!

So, if' you’ve got a few minutes, let’s go check it out!
