Stencil Storage Solutions
Out of Sight Out of Mind; If You Can’t See it You Won’t Use it
Today’s Tidbit shows you my NEW storage system for my ever expanding stencil collection from Joggles. Since I am a stencil designer, I have over 50 9x12 stencils that I love being able to use on the gel plate when I create hand-painted paper for my collage work. Previously I was storing them in a drawer between sheets of paper to keep them from tangling but what I realized was that I never really dug very deep into that drawer, I kept using the few on the top. Call it lazy, or busy, or whatever you like, I just knew I needed a new and improved storage system. I hung the stencils from a 3/16” x 36” metal dwell rod and two cup hooks with anchors that I purchased at Home Depot. I put the stencils on S-hooks backed with Dura-Lar plastic sheets so they won’t tangle. I hope that you will find this video helpful!
